Potentially the easiest campfire dessert ever

In January I wrote about my go-to campfire meal, and while proper meals are fun to make. Desserts are even more fun.

Potentially the easiest dessert to make on a campfire is a banana split. All you need is a knife, a banana, some chocolate, some aluminium foil, and a spoon. You could probably mange without a spoon, just know that it is most likely going to be a mess eating it without one.

So how do you make a banana split?

  • Make a slice down the length of the banana, making sure too only cut through the peel on one side of the banana.

  • Stuff as many pieces of chocolate as you wish/manage to inside the banana.

  • Wrap tightly in aluminium foil and put it on a fire for a few minutes.

When it’s done you should have a very soft banana with lovely, melted chocolate inside. It might not look very appetizing, but if you can get past the way it looks you are going to have an amazingly tasty and easy dessert.

Hope you enjoy 😊
